Clafy Firefox PluginWhat is this? The Clafy FireFox extension integrates with FireFox and allows you to right-click and upload any image you see online. This extension is currently supports Firefox v3.5 and above. This will allow users to upload images on other websites directly to Clafy without having to first save them locally. Do you update this often?Sure, we will try to update this plugin every often so that it will support the latest version of Firefox.
What else it can do?So far the only thing it will do is that it will add 2 options in your Firefox right click menu. You can see the example of clafy plugin in action. We do however have plan to add another plugin which is cross browser compatible which wfter installed will allow users to drag and drop images to the menu in user's browser. We will keep this page updated when it become public.
Can I upload images from private servers? No. Clafy cannot accept query URLs from password protected or restricted access servers. It will relay an error message if you do so.
Getting Started Guide1. Installation First you need to download the plugin here or you can download it on mozilla site. Since you are installing plugin from non-mozilla site, instead of immediately seeing the Software Installation dialog, you will see that Firefox prevented clafy.com from installing software on your computer.
No need to be alarmed, all you have to do is to click the "Allow" button on the top left corner and allow clafy.com and then click close. It will then give you an installation window.
When the Software Installation dialog first appears, there is a slight time delay before the Install button becomes enabled. This is to prevent you from accidentally clicking when you didn't mean to install the extension. The same delay happens if you were to move focus off of your browser by clicking another application. Clicking anywhere within the dialog, starts the countdown timer. The delay does not occur if you're updating an extension you've installed. Click "Install" and let firefox do its thing. Once its done, restart firefox. If this fails, right-click the download link and save the extension locally on your system. Then drag and drop the extension anywhere on the Firefox browser window, this should initiate the automatic installation. 2. Uninstallation In your Firefox browser, select 'Tools > Add-ons' from the menu bar. Select 'Clafy Right-Click Image Uploader' from the Add-ons windows list. Click the 'Uninstall' button. Restart Firefox to complete your changes. 3. Right-click upload Once you installed the plugin and restarted your browser, check your browser's right-click menu. Two (2) options should be appearing on the menu:
So, now if you see an image on the internet and want to share that images with your friends and family, all you need to do is to right-click on the image and choose either options. The image will be automatically uploaded to Clafy and you will see a new tab will open showing you the images and links which you can later use.
